Where has "Add to Contacts Gone"

When reading or replying to an email I used to be able to right mouse click on a email address in the "From" or "To" fields and the context menu would give me an option to add that person to my Outlook Contacts.  I used to use that all the time - a great time saver. Like a few other things in Outlook 2013 , it seems to have disappeared ??  Am I missing something or has it gone .  If it has gone why ? and please bring it back !!  :-)

if there is not a contact for the address, the menu will contain an 'add to contacts' link. If the contact exists, it will say 'edit contact'.

I've found that article from MSDN as below:

Outlook 2013 : Add to Outlook contacts" and "Look up Outlook contact" are missing when we right-click on the sender's name

http://blogs.msdn.com/b/rathomas/archive/2012/12/15/outlook-2013-add-to-outlook-contacts-quot-and-quot-look-up-outlook-contact-quot-are-missing-when-we-right-click-on-the-sender-s-name.aspx

However, the option still appears in my Outlook 2013, see the picture below. But notice that it only shows when you right mouse click on a email address which the contact doesn't exist in your contact folder.

This is not working for me.  the name I am trying to add is NOT in my PEOPLE list or my Address list.

but I do see an something odd.  my address list is for my email name (FI, MI,lastname).   When I right click on a name in a message and click edit contact, it says the source is OUTLOOK my PST name which is my firstname.

I have one data file or PST (firstname.pst) and 5 email accounts with one being the default.  My address list says it is in my default account (email name described in prior paragraph).

It is like there are two 'contact lists' but I can only see one of them.

another point: when I click file, account settings, addresses I get a response with a name = outlook address book and type MAPI.  all my accounts POP.

there is something inconsistent.

if the source lists a pst name, it should be in a contacts folder in that pst file.

Go to the folder list - Ctrl+6 will open it. Do you have more than one contacts folder?

Set the TurnOnLegacyGALDialog reg key - i have a reg file at http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/use-outlooks-contacts-contact-cards/ that you can run to set it - then restart Outlook. Double click on the address in a message - do you get a contacts form (the old style, not the new cards) or a small email properties dialog? The properties dialog means you don't have a contact for that address. When you right click and choose add to contacts, it will open the old contacts form.

On the address book, that is normal. All Outlook email account types use a mapi address book. Third parties can install other types of address books though.
